Is having a colonic painful?
Most people experience very little discomfort and it doesn’t last long.
Is it personal?
Yes, you will be in the room alone while the colonic procedure is taking place, unless you need assistance!Top
Can it hurt me?
No, the procedure emits a small volume of water very gently into the colon and can be stopped at anytime. It is not any more harmful than an enema! Top
Will the colonic remove the good bacteria and electrolytes from my body?
Some will be removed and should be replenished until your body restores them naturally. We will give you some before leaving. Top
How often should I get a colonic?
That will vary with a person’s current health condition; at least 3-6 cleanses to start with, and every change of season afterward, or as you feel the need! Top
Is there anyone who should not do colon hydrotherapy?
Yes, there are certain health conditions that do prevent some people from doing a colonic. Such as:
- Severe Cardiac Disease: {uncontrolled hypertension or Congestive Heart Failure}
- Aneurysm
- Severe Anemia
- GI Hemorrhage/Perforation
- Severe Hemorrhoids
- Cirrhosis
- Carcinoma of the Colon
- Fissures/Fistulas
- Pregnancy, first & third trimester
- Abdominal Hernia
- Recent Colon Surgery
- Renal Insufficiency
Do you have examples of impacted and diseased colons?
Yes, here is an article and photos of the impacted colon of a man who died at age 66 due to the condition of his colon. Note, that often what we assume is fat hanging over a belt, is most likely an overloaded colon. We also have a drawing of a diseased colon.
